Treat the pair as two threats
Otto and Arora Kress are conjoined but attack differently. Otto closes the distance with a saw; Arora throws poison vials. Their facing directions differ, so being behind one of them does not create a guaranteed blind side for the pair.
Arora’s poison can cause nausea, followed by vomiting that prevents movement and gives Otto an opening to approach. A second nausea hit can trigger vomiting immediately. Do not wait in the same exposed lane expecting a predictable pause between every throw.
Cross the room using cover
- Identify the next solid obstacle or doorway before leaving cover.
- Keep that obstacle between you and Arora when she has a throwing line. Avoid standing in an open corridor while doing a long interaction.
- Move far enough from Otto that a melee approach does not catch you at the obstacle’s edge.
- Once you have broken the sightline and made space, resume the objective or recover. Do not repeatedly peek and assume the same throw cadence as an older video.
Loud noises and thrown objects can prompt a response. A distraction is not a guarantee that the pair will turn only in the direction you expect.
Clear the poison effect
Use an Antidote, or Heal with the Detox upgrade, to cure Arora’s poison effect. The base Heal purchase is not the same as having Detox: it is a level-5 upgrade.
If you are already vomiting and cannot move, avoid planning an action that depends on immediate movement. Use your available recovery opportunity and get back behind cover when control returns.
Account for the 2026 speed changes
The September 8, 2026 update slightly increased the Twins’ chase speed and reduced Arora’s throwing cooldown. An older clip’s comfortable pause is not a dependable current timing window.
Variators, difficulty and the room layout can change how much space you have. The dependable plan is to block the throwing line, preserve distance and carry a recovery option—not to memorise an unverified jump or dodge timing.
